Wouter Hamel (born May 19, 1977 in The Hague , Netherlands ) is a Dutch jazz singer .
biography
Hamel went to the study of popular music and singing at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht , where he graduated 2,001th In 2005 he won the Nederlands Jazz Vocalisten Concours and has since appeared on various Dutch TV programs. In 2007 he signed with Dox Records and produced his debut album Hamel together with Benny Sings , which won several awards in the Netherlands.
The album was released in Japan in late 2007 and Wouter Hamel toured Japan with his band. In February 2008 the album was awarded a gold record , at the same time the album was released in Korea . Also in 2008, Wouter Hamel completed two club tours and played as support for Doe Maar in Rotterdam's De Kuip .
In 2009 the second album Nobody's tune was released and also received a gold record in June.
