Rosário do Sul is a city with 39,535 inhabitants (as of 2018) in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil . It is located about 380 km west of Porto Alegre . The towns of Alegrete , Cacequi , Dom Pedrito , Santana do Livramento , São Gabriel and Quaraí are neighboring . Originally, Rosário do Sul was part of the municipalities of Alegrete and São Gabriel.
