Santana do Livramento is a city with about 77,763 inhabitants (as of 2018) in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil . It is located about 490 km west of Porto Alegre . Neighboring are the towns of Dom Pedrito , Quaraí , Rosário do Sul and the sister city of Rivera in Uruguay . In Santana, as in neighboring Rivera, the mixed Spanish-Portuguese language Portuñol is spoken.
