Rosalind Marquis (born Rosalind Saindon ; born September 11, 1915 in Chicago , Illinois , † June 12, 2006 in Naples , Florida ) was an American actress .

Rosalind Marquis made her acting debut in 1936 with Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson in Who Owns the City? . In the same year she was seen as a partner of Clark Gable and Marion Davies in Kain and Mabel . Marquis celebrated her greatest success in 1937 alongside Bette Davis and Humphrey Bogart in Murder in the Nightclub . In the same year she retired from acting.

In addition to her acting career, Marquis has also made a name for herself as a singer and pianist. She toured Kentucky with her first husband Ed Axton and the chansonette Édith Piaf with Blue Grass Room .
