Rosemarie Priebus b. Trenczek (born January 11, 1947 in Zwickau ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

After attending secondary school in Werdau and graduating from high school in 1965, she began studying veterinary medicine at the Humboldt University in Berlin , which she completed in 1971. In 1972 she began practicing as a veterinarian in Wittstock .

In July 1990 she joined the GDR CDU , for which she had previously entered the GDR parliament in the Volkskammer election. After reunification , she was one of the members of the Bundestag until the end of the 11th legislative period.

In the federal election in December 1990, Priebus was elected to parliament as a direct candidate for the Brandenburg constituency of Neuruppin - Kyritz - Wittstock - Pritzwalk - Perleberg . There she officiated as secretary and was a member of the board of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group .

In 1994 she left the Bundestag. In her home town of Wittstock she remained politically active as a city councilor. There she is also chairman of the local initiative “Pro Bundeswehr ”. This campaigned for the military use of the Wittstock military training area . However, the administrative court in Potsdam prohibited its use.
