The Rosary , also Paternoster or Rosenschapel referred to in the already since the 14th century Roman Catholic Church is used, is also a coat of arms figure in heraldry .

The coat of arms depicts the rosary made of pearls or, derived from the name, consisting of roses . The sacramental is rarely the only object in the coat of arms or coat of arms field . A pilgrim's staff is often added. The rosary primarily adorns the coats of arms of priors and prelates . In the ecclesiastical heraldry of use is more common. The rosary is also hung around the shield. A predominant tinging is not recognizable.

The coat of arms figure also allows talking coats of arms with the name Rosenkranz.
