Rosie Allwood

Rosie Allwood (actually Rose Allwood, married Morrison; born November 21, 1952 in Boston Beach , Portland Parish ) is a former Jamaican sprinter .

In 1971 she won bronze over 100 m at the Central American and Caribbean Championships . At the Pan American Games in Cali , she was sixth over 100 m and fifth over 200 m .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, she was eighth over 200 m and reached the semifinals over 100 m . In the 4 x 400 meter relay , she was eliminated in the run-up.

In 1974 she was seventh over 100 m at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch and failed over 200 m in the heat. The following year, she won bronze over 200 m at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in 1975.

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, she was sixth in the 4-by-100-meter relay . Over 100 m she reached the semi-finals and over 200 m the quarter-finals.

In 1979 she won silver over 100 m at the Central America and Caribbean Championships. At the Pan American Games in San Juan , she was sixth over this distance and took silver in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, she was again sixth in the 4-by-100-meter relay and was eliminated over 100 m in the quarter-finals.
