Ross Campbell (medic)

Donald Ross Campbell (born November 25, 1936 in Albuquerque , † November 2, 2012 in South Cumberland State Park, Tennessee ) was an American psychiatrist and author of educational books.

Life

Campbell studied engineering at the United States Naval Academy and remained in the US Navy until 1963 . He then changed disciplines and studied medicine at the University of Florida until 1969 . From 1968 to 1969 he worked as a missionary in Bolivia for the Wycliff Bible Translators . In 1973 he completed his specialist training. From 1973 to 1996 he worked as a child and youth psychiatrist .

Campbell authored numerous education books that have been translated into more than 40 languages. The books are shaped by his Christian worldview.

For some later works he collaborated with Gary Chapman on the basis of the concept of the five languages ​​of love .
