The Rossberghütte is a small self-catering hut at exactly 1000 meters above sea level on the northern edge of the Tennengebirge in the municipality of Scheffau am Tennengebirge . It is always locked, but usually accessible to Alpine Club members (registered groups) with the hut keeper's AV key. Occasionally the hut is used for events of the responsible Salzburg section of the Austrian Alpine Club. Otherwise it is an attractive destination for hikers, of course without any management. The hut is only partially suitable for crossing plateaus.
