Life

Rossella Falk received her artistic training at the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica in Rome in 1947/48 . The same year (1948) the first offer from film followed, and soon after from the theater too.

Falk was seen on stage in 1949 in Pirandello's Six People Looking for an Author , 1950 in Tennessee Williams ' Endstation Sehnsucht , 1953 in Goldoni's Mirandolina , 1955 in Chekhov's Three Sisters , 1976 in Dumas' The Lady of the Camellias , 1982 in Schiller's Maria Stuart , 1984 in Cocteau's The Double Eagle and 1991 in The Horrible Parents by the same author. A later success was granted to her in 1998 in Ibsen's Ghosts . Even after 60 years, in 2009, Rossella Falk was on stage.

From 1951 to 1954 she was part of the renowned acting troupe of Rina Morelli and Paolo Stoppa , afterwards (1954) Falk worked for a season at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, where she appeared in a production by Giorgio Strehler and a year later at the Compagnia dei Giovani . Here she worked with (then) young mimes such as Romolo Valli , Umberto Orsini and Giorgio De Lullo . In these early years Rossella Falk celebrated her breakthrough as a recognized stage interpreter.

Although she made her debut in front of the camera as early as 1948, film was of secondary importance in Rossella Falk's artistic work. After all, such respected directors as Federico Fellini , Nanni Loy , Robert Aldrich , Joseph Losey and Dario Argento signed the Roman woman. She completed her best-known and probably most important role in 1962 with Rossella in Fellini's surrealistic, autobiographical comedy Eight and Half . However, the majority of their cinema appearances are limited to conventional entertainment products, which sometimes did not even reach an average level with films like The Riddle of the Silver Crescent .

Rossella Falk directed the Teatro Eliseo from 1981 to 1997 and has also received a number of awards and honors.
