Roswitha Strauss
Roswitha Strauss (born Roswitha Strelow ; born May 30, 1946 in Stade / Lower Saxony ) is a German politician ( CDU ).
After finishing secondary school, Strauss studied at the Neumünster Textile School . In 1966 she graduated as a chemical engineer. She practiced her professional practice in the pharmaceutical industry, research and production control and built up a medium-sized company after her marriage. For five years she was an honorary judge at the Neumünster Labor Court .
Strauss was initially a member of the Junge Union before she joined the CDU in 1968, where she was a board member of the CDU in the Segeberg district association . From 1974 to 1982 and from 1990 to 2003 she was the community representative in Alveslohe . From 1996 to 2005 she sat in the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein , where she was chairwoman of the economic committee. In 1996 she was directly elected in the regional constituency of Segeberg-West , and in 2000 she moved in via the state list. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Schleswig-Holstein Open Canal .
