Red Bald III. (Provence)

Red Bald III. († 1014 ) was Count of Provence from 1005. He was the only son of Count Rotbald II and Eimildis von Gévaudan . With the death of his father (probably 1008) he inherited all his titles and lands.

He was Ermengard's first husband (since around 1005). The couple had two sons, who are known as the step-sons of the King of Burgundy, Hugo and Wilhelm V († 1037), and a daughter, Emma († after 1063), who in 1019 became the wife of Wilhelm III. Taillefer , Count of Toulouse , was. With this marriage the title of Marquis of Provence came to the House of Toulouse .
