Helene Olafsen (born February 21, 1990 in Oppegård ) is a Norwegian snowboarder . She is vice-world champion in boardercross for juniors. In 2004 she received the Rookie of the Year Award . At the age of 16, she won the bronze medal at the 2007 World Cup in Arosa and was awarded the Karoline prizes for this achievement . Two years later she became world champion at the 2009 World Cup. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, she fell in the final in the boardercross competition, but still took 4th place.
