The Rotenmannspitze ( 3,077  m above sea level ) is a mountain peak of the Umbal ridge in the Venediger group in East Tyrol ( Austria ). It is located in the north-west of East Tyrol on the municipal border between St. Jakob in Defereggen and Prägraten am Großvenediger .

location

The Rotenmannspitze lies between the Rotenmanntörl ( 2997  m above sea level ) in the south and the Törlschartl ( 3004  m above sea level ) in the north, whereby the Rotenmanntörl the Rotenmannspitze from the Totenkarspitze ( 3133  m above sea level ) and the Törlschartl die Rotenmannspitze from Törlkopf ( 3010  m above sea level ) separates. To the west of the Rotenmannspitze is the Schwarzachtal , to the east the mountain summit drops to the Leitbach, which flows into the Daberbach (Dabertal).

Promotion opportunities

The Rotenmannspitze is often used by hikers who use the Rotenmanntörl as a connection between the Schwarzachtal and the Neue Reichenberger Hütte . The ascent runs from the Oberhausalm over the Seebachalmen to the Rotenmanntörl, from where the easy ascent takes place over the southeast ridge or the southeast side. From the Neue Reichenberger Hütte, the Rotenmannspitze can also be climbed from the southeast side, whereby the ascent initially follows the Rudolf-Tham-Weg just before the Rotenmanntörl on the southeast side. The ridge crossing from the Törlkopf over the Törlschartl shows brittle slate and is classified with the UIAA II difficulty .
