The Rothenbach is a right tributary of the Selbitz in the Upper Franconian district of Hof in Bavaria .
The stream has its source northwest of Almbranz , a district of Helmbrechts . From there it flows largely in a northerly direction through Mühldorf (Schauenstein) and through Rothenbürg . It flows into the Selbitz in the town center of Selbitz (Upper Franconia) .
