Rotnei Clarke (born July 20, 1989 in Claremore , Oklahoma , United States ) is an American basketball player . Most recently, he was under contract with Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany .

Career

Rotnei Clarke plays in the positions of point guard and shooting guard and is a proven three-man specialist. Clarke received his basketball training from 2008 to 2011 at the University of Arkansas , then from 2011 to 2013 at Butler University . Due to the move, Clarke had to take a year off. In his senior season with the Butler Bulldogs in the US college league NCAA , he averaged 16.9 points per game.

At 2013 NBA draft Clarke was not drafted. In August 2013, Clarke signed a contract with the Wollongong Hawks , who play in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) . Clarke averaged 21.1 points per game in the 2013-14 season and was voted MVP of the NBL.

In the summer of 2014, Clarke moved to Europe and played one season for the Belgian team Okapi Aalstar . For Aalst, Clarke averaged 17.5 points per game in the Belgian league, with a three-way rate of 40.8%.

Clarke moved to Germany to the Telekom Baskets Bonn for the 2015/16 season . For Bonn, Clarke averaged 11.5 points per game, with a three-way quota of 43.5%. At the end of the season, Clarke did not receive a new contract as the Baskets are looking to completely rebuild the squad after a sporting disappointing season.

Clarke then returned to Australia and again joined the local first division club Illawarra Hawks (formerly Wollongong Hawks) for two years.
