The Royal Boskalis Westminster abbreviated, Boskalis , is a Dutch public company whose focus is the Seebaggergeschäft. It used to appear under its Dutch name “ Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV ”.

Overview

The traditional business fields of the company, founded in 1910, include the dredging of sand and mud for the purpose of keeping ports and fairways clear , land reclamation and coastal protection . In Germany, Boskalis operates through its subsidiary Heinrich Hirdes GmbH hydraulic engineering , dredging , culvert construction , civil engineering , pile driving , port construction , remediation and environmental technology and ordnance disposal .

In 2016, Boskalis took over STRABAG Wasserbau (formerly Josef Möbius Bau).

From 1993 to 2006 Boskalis was led by Rob van Gelder , since 2006 by Peter Berdowski .
