The Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 500 is a motorcycle from the now Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield , which emerged from a British manufacturer of guns , motorcycles and automobiles .

Technically, the Bullet "Classic" 500, like the Bullet 500 , is based on a construction from the 1950s. Only the engine was adapted to today's emission regulations . It has a 500 cm³ single-cylinder engine in a simple single-tube frame with a load-bearing motor, rear swing arm and telescopic fork with 90 / 90-19 tires on the front and 90 / 90-18 on the rear wheel. The models of the "Classic" series are offered in several civil as well as military color variants.

The motor

The Royal Enfield EFI bullet engine was developed to meet emissions regulations in Europe. True to the motto “evolution instead of revolution”, the development engineers at Royal Enfield have drawn a mixture of the Enfield Crusader engines from the 1960s and the bullet engine. The engine is a unit construction, which means that the crankshaft and gearbox are housed in a common housing. The alternator sits on the right of the crankshaft, the primary drive on the left . Instead of a carburetor , it has an electronically controlled intake manifold injection ( Electronic Fuel Injection ). The stroke ratio with 90 mm stroke and 84 mm bore is traditionally British. The maximum torque of 41 Nm is delivered at 4000 rpm. The new engine is electronically ignited without contact, has an automatic decompressor and hydraulic valve, which means that there is no need to adjust the valves. The 2016 model year of the Royal Enfield complies with the Euro 4 emissions standard , and the 2017 model year the motorcycle was equipped with an anti-lock braking system.
