Royal White Star Bruxelles , known in German-speaking countries as Royal White Star Brussels , White Star Brussels or RWS Brussels , is a Belgian football club from the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in the Brussels-Capital Region .
The club was formed in 1981 as a product of the merger of White Star Woluwe FC (founded in 1948 as Kappelleveld FC ) with Sporting Malou (founded in 1974 as Union Sportive Malou ) and called itself White Star Malou Woluwe . In 1994 one returned to the name of one of the predecessor clubs and changed the name to White Star Woluwe FC . After recognition by Société Royale, the name was added Royal in 2005 and from then on it was called Royal White Star Woluwe FC . Since 2013, the association has had its current name Royal White Star Bruxelles .
