Rubidium hydrogen sulfide crystallizes in the trigonal crystal system in the space group R 3 m (space group no. 166) with the lattice parameters a = 453.0 pm, β = 69.3 °, and 1 formula unit per unit cell . At 130 ° C there is a phase transition into a cubic crystal structure with the lattice parameter a = 692 pm, the space group Fm 3 m (No. 225) and 4 formula units per unit cell. Chemical properties

Rubidium hydrogen sulfide reacts further with stoichiometric amounts of rubidium hydroxide to form rubidium sulfide .
