Extraction and presentation
Rubidium pertechnetate can be obtained by reacting rubidium carbonate and ammonium pertechnetate .

The crystal structure of rubidium pertechnetate is tetragonal and has the space group I 4 1 / a . The lattice parameters are a = 576.2 pm and c = 1354.3 pm. The length of the Tc – O bond is 172.3 pm and the Rb – O bond is 302.1 pm. The angle of the O-Tc-O bond is 108.34 °.
