The Ruby Peak is a 4,022 m high mountain in the Sierra Nevada in the State of California of the United States . It lies on the border between Fresno County and Inyo County .
Surroundings
The mountain lies in the John Muir Wilderness on a ridge northeast of Mount Mills . To the northeast of the summit is Ruby Lake . Peaks in the area are Mount Starr in the northeast, Mount Morgan in the east and Mount Mills, Mount Abot and Mount Dade in the south. The dominance is only 1.66 km, so the mountain is the highest point within a radius of 1.66 km. It is overlooked by Mount Mills, which lies south-southeast .
