Rudelstetten is a church village and part of the Bavarian municipality of Alerheim in the Donau-Ries district .
geography
Rudelstetten is located about two kilometers northeast of Alerheim in the Rieskessel , on an oxbow lake of the Wörnitz . To the south the Bokusbach flows into the oxbow lake . The district road DON 10 runs through the village . The former street village has been greatly expanded by settlement and business and has two business parks.
history
In deed of donation from the 8th / 9th In the 16th century of the Fulda monastery , "Rutenstat" is mentioned as a donation to the imperial monastery. For centuries, Rudelstetten belonged to the Oberamt Alerheim . In 1190 the place reappears as "Rudolvisstetin". A chapel there is mentioned as a branch of Alerheim. In 1648 the church and parts of the village fell victim to a fire.
On January 1, 1978, the previously independent Rudelstetten was incorporated into the community of Alerheim.
Worth seeing
The St. Ulrich church was rebuilt after the fire from 1652 to 1658 on the site of the previous building and was last renovated in 1968. The decor comes from the artist Ernst Steinacker .
