Rudi Lenz

Rudi Lenz (born January 16, 1931 in Hasselbach (Westerwald) ) is a German sports official and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.

Professional background

After studying in Trier , Rudi Lenz was a teacher in Hundheim , then from 1964 to 1972 head of the home school of the Schmiedel children's and youth home . After the home school closed, he switched to the vocational school (BBS) in Simmern.

Functions in sport

Rudi Lenz was from 1966 to 1997 chairman of the sports district in the Rhein-Hunsrück district . He was a member of the youth welfare committee, regional representative of the Turngau Hunsrück, sports badge chairman and on the board of the educational organization in the state sports association .

Honors

Rudi Lenz received the Federal Cross of Merit for his many years of voluntary work as chairman of the sports district.

Lenz received the badge of honor of the Rhineland Sports Association in gold for over 25 years of membership, the letter of honor from the Rhineland Football Association and the badge of merit of the German Football Association .

As a special honor, on September 13, 2005, Rudi Lenz received the rarely awarded sports obelisk of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in recognition of his many services to sport.
