Rudolf-Maria Schütz (born September 3, 1929 in Gelsenkirchen ; † September 9, 2007 in Lübeck ) was a German physician , geriatrician , gerontologist , university professor and president of the German Society for Gerontology and Geriatrics. V.

biography

Schütz studied medicine at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , was a scholarship holder in the pharmacological department of the Max Planck Society and in 1966 moved to the Medical University of Lübeck, now the Medical University of Lübeck . After completing his habilitation in internal medicine , Schütz was appointed adjunct professor in 1972 and appointed director of the Clinic for Angiology and Geriatrics in 1974.
