Rudolf Meimberg Prize
The Rudolf Meimberg Prize is an award that is awarded every two years by the Academy of Sciences and Literature (Academy Foundation ) in Mainz .
The Rudolf Meimberg Prize has been awarded since 1996. It is awarded to people who, in their publications, have taken particular account of human responsibility for themselves and the general public or who have researched in the field of Greek-Oriental antiquity in connection with contemporary culture in the tradition of humanism and humanity . The award is named after its founder , Rudolf Meimberg (1912–2011). The award is also expressly aimed at non-German researchers.
