Rudolf Becker (painter)
Rudolf Becker (* 1856 in Hamburg ; † after 1891 ) was a German landscape painter from the Düsseldorf School .
Life
Becker was a decorative painter before he enrolled in 1881 to study painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There was Hugo Crola his teacher to 1882nd In 1882 he also took lessons in the engraving class of Carl Ernst Forberg . He then went on study trips to the Netherlands and the Russian Empire . From 1891 he lived in Hamburg again.
Becker's landscape painting treated autumn, the forest as well as rain, evening and moonlight moods as favorite motifs.
