Rudolf Burger (born October 17, 1864 in Burg ; † June 4, 1950 , reformed , resident in Burg) was a Swiss entrepreneur and politician (FDP) .

biography

Rudolf Burger was born on October 17, 1864 in Burg as the son of the entrepreneur and free-thinking politician Rudolf Burger senior. Burger completed a commercial apprenticeship in Vevey . As a result, he was employed as a volunteer at the Volksbank in Reinach , before joining his father's cigar business, Burger Söhne, in 1886 .

In addition, he financed the construction of the Burg power station between 1904 and 1907, which supplied eighteen communities in the Aargau and Lucerne neighborhoods. He also held board mandates at the Aargau electricity works and at Nordostschweizerische Kraftwerke AG . Burger was considered an expert of the Federal Directorate General for tobacco imports. In 1925 he retired from business life.

Rudolf Burger's first marriage was Luise, born Weber, who was born in Menziker in 1886 , and his second marriage in 1927 was Marie, born in Bellikon, born Steger. He died on June 4th 1950 at the age of 86 in Burg.

Political offices

Rudolf Burger, a member of the Free Democratic Party, officiated at the municipal level 1895 to 1907 as a council , and - Ammann Burg. In addition, he represented his party at cantonal level in the Aargau Grand Council from 1913 to 1921 .
