Rudolf Exler

Rudolf Exler (born July 28, 1905 in Kerschdorf , Emmersdorf ; † March 24, 1982 in Weiz ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and industrial technician. From 1953 to 1970 he was a member of the National Council .

Life

After completing elementary and community school, Exler attended the technical correspondence school in Bad Frankenhausen and learned to be a machine fitter. He then worked as an industrial technician at Elin-Union and was employed at the Weiz plant. Exler was politically active as chairman of the district committee of the SPÖ Weiz, and he was also active within the party as a member of the state party representation of the SPÖ Styria. He represented the SPÖ in the Weiz municipal council and was a member of the National Council from March 18, 1953 to March 31, 1970.

Exler was imprisoned for nine months for political reasons following the Austrian Civil War in 1934.
