Life

He was the son of a farmer. In 1948 he moved from his home town of Grombach to Stuttgart-Vaihingen . In the same year he married Annemarie Fries from Kirchardt . The marriage had six children.

Artistically, Fleck was an autodidact . He was originally an artisan and made silver jewelry. In doing so, he came into contact with email , which he initially included in the silver jewelry. He had his first exhibitions in 1968/69 within the artists' guild Donaueschingen . Since 1977 his enamel works with sacred and profane content have been shown in solo exhibitions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Spain. Later he combined the pyrographics with precious stones and precious metals and created three-dimensional mandalas with them . In 1983 Rudolf Fleck was awarded the Gold Euro Medal by the Baden-Baden European Cultural Area on the occasion of an exhibition .
