Rudolf Frank (chemist)

Rudolf Frank (born March 30, 1863 in Landskron (Lanškroun / Moravia); † May 11, 1926 in Berlin ) was a German chemist and industrialist.

Frank studied chemistry and natural sciences in Vienna and Bern , where he was also in 1885 with the forensic dissertation contributions to the application of dialysis in court-chemical investigations to Dr. phil. PhD . From 1886 he worked in a number of industrial plants and in 1911 he took over the management of the chemical factories association in Mannheim . During the First World War he worked on the board of directors of the "War Chemicals Corporation" and invented Frankpulver , which the military administration requested in large quantities. As managing chairman of the "Association for the Protection of the Interests of the Chemical Industry in Germany", as a member of the Provisional Reich Economic Council , as a presidential member of the Reich Association of German Industry , as chairman of the employers' association of the chemical industry and in many similar positions, he showed his lively interest in professional and economic issues.

He was named Dr. Ing. Was honored and was named Kommerzienrat .

His final resting place is in the south-west cemetery Stahnsdorf .
