Rudolf Hausser

Rudolf Haußer (born June 6, 1910 in Stuttgart , † January 16, 2003 in Löwenstein ) was a German pulmonologist , nationally recognized lung surgeon, head of clinic and professor.

Rudolf Haußer was one of the first in Germany to remove diseased lung lobes. In 1943 he founded the sanatorium in Weinsberg - Weißenhof , in 1946 that in Gundelsheim (in Horneck Castle ) and in 1960 the Löwenstein Clinic . His own illness from tuberculosis in 1935 determined his life. Numerous specialist publications go back to him.

Haußer was married and had three children. He was a passionate hunter and a founding member of the Heilbronn Lions Club , which he presided over in 1962/1963.
