Baron Johann Friedrich August Rudolf Hiller von Gaertringen (born May 4, 1801 in Dramburg , † October 27, 1866 in Berlin ) was a German landowner and politician.

Life

Hiller von Gaertringen was the son of the Prussian major general of the cavalry, Johann Christoph Wilhelm Rudolf Freiherr Hiller von Gaertringen (1771-1831) and his wife Ulrike Hermine Philippine von Heising (born April 3, 1778; † February 21, 1849), a daughter of Lieutenant General von Heising. Hiller von Gaertringen, who was a Protestant denomination, married Sophie Mathilde Auguste von Motz (born February 19, 1807 in Vollenborn; † December 9, 1856 in Betsche), the daughter of the Prussian Finance Minister Friedrich von Motz , on September 19, 1826 in Berlin .

From 1835 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Poznan . From 1843 to 1847 he was deputy state marshal and in 1847 became state marshal. From 1849 to 181 he was a member of the Second Prussian Chamber . In 1850 he was a member of the state house of the Erfurt Union Parliament .

Awards

On January 18, 1840, he received the Order of the Red Eagle, 3rd class, on June 25, 1842, the ribbon, on January 18, 1854, the 2nd class, and on October 10, 1861, the star. In 1851 he received the Commander's Cross of the Hohenzollern House Order.
