Rudolf Irmler

Rudolf Irmler (born August 11, 1907 in Lüben , Silesia, † January 8, 1999 in Marktheidenfeld ) was a German Protestant theologian and author.

After studying theology, Irmler first took on a pastor's office in Brazil. In 1939, due to the death of his father, he briefly returned to his hometown, then - prevented from returning to his old pastoral office due to the outbreak of war - he took on pastoral activities in neighboring parishes. Until 1947 Irmler worked as a pastor and superintendent . He later became a state prison pastor in Waldheim, Saxony, and remained so until 1953. Afterwards he was theological assistant at the Gustav Adolf factory in Kassel , for which he traveled extensively. In 1963 Irmler took over the rectorate of the deaconess mother house in Breslau-Lehmgruben in Marktheidenfeld .

Irmler published numerous books on various subjects, including travelogues and works of fiction.
