Rudolf Poppo

Karl Albert Rudolf Franz Poppo (born October 9, 1869 in Bernstadt in Silesia , † after 1922) was a German doctor and secret medical councilor .

Life

Rudolf Poppo studied at the TH Charlottenburg and at the TH Karlsruhe . He later switched to medicine and studied medicine in Berlin and Greifswald , where he was awarded a Dr. med. PhD. From 1898 he was a practicing ophthalmologist in Marienwerder and from 1911 in Eisemroth . He was a member of the Prussian Medical Association and a secret medical council.

Poppo took part in the First World War, in the Landwehr Infantry Regiment No. 349 and in the 3rd Guards Regiment on foot . He was awarded the Iron Cross II. Class and the Hessian Military Medical Cross.

On September 30, 1908, he married Gertrud geb. Freyer. There were five children from the marriage.
