Rudolf Seiden

Rudolf Seiden (born August 13, 1900 in Langenwang , † June 12, 1965 in Kansas City (Missouri) ) was an Austrian-American chemist , Zionist and publicist .

Life

Rudolf Seiden studied law in Vienna and graduated from the Technical University . In 1924 he married Juliette Niswizski, with whom he had two sons. He was a chemist and Zionist activist, and worked for the Neue Freie Presse from 1928 to 1931 .

Seiden emigrated to the United States in 1935 and became a US citizen in 1941. There he was a freelance writer and correspondent for various chemistry journals. From 1938 he was Vice President of Production and Research at the Haver Lockhart Laboratories in Kansas City, Missouri, and Director of the Coru King Company . He was a member of the American Chemical Society . As a Zionist activist, he wrote for the Jewish magazines Morgenzeitung , Die Voice , Die Jüdische Rundschau and Palestine .
