Rudolf Thiel (born August 27, 1825 in Bautzen ; † January 31, 1884 there ) was a German lawyer and member of the Reichstag.

Thiel attended high school in Bautzen and studied law at the University of Leipzig . In 1845 he was in the Corps Lusatia Leipzig rezipiert . After the exams he was a lawyer in his hometown. From 1871 to 1874 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the National Liberal Party and the constituency of Saxony 3 (Bautzen - Kamenz ).

Rudolf Thiel was married to Margarethe Cölestine Fischer (1830–1911), a daughter of the paper manufacturer Carl Friedrich August Fischer , since 1864 .
