Rudolf von Kannewurff

Rudolf Hermann Wilhelm von Kannewurff (born September 12, 1804 in Johannisburg , † August 28, 1858 in Lyck ) was a German manor owner, administrative officer and parliamentarian.

Life

Kannewurff studied 1824 jurisprudence at the Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Berlin and the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg . In 1826 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After graduating, he became the owner of the Baitkowen manor in the Lyck district. From 1853 to 1857 he was district administrator of the Lyck district . In the Prussian military he reached the rank of captain .

Kannewurff was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Prussia . In 1847 he was a member of the United State Parliament . From 1853 to 1858 he was a member of the Gumbinnen 5 constituency in the Prussian House of Representatives . He did not belong to any political group.

He was married to Adelheid von Wagenfeldt (1818-1884). Her son was the police chief of Königsberg Ernst von Kannewurff .
