Rudolf von Türcke

Rudolf von Türcke (born March 12, 1839 in Meiningen , † May 24, 1915 in Dresden ) was a German landscape painter .

origin

His parents were the Saxon-Meiningen Chamberlain Hermann Rudolf von Türcke (* March 20, 1799 - October 27, 1840) and his wife Friederike Sophie Amalie Luise Elisabeth von Alten (1808–1867).

Life

He received his training from 1859 at the Dresden Academy , then in 1862 he moved to the Academy in Düsseldorf , where he studied landscape painting with Oswald Achenbach in 1863/1864 . From there he returned to Dresden in 1870 .

He married Johanna von der Mosel on April 28, 1881 (* August 10, 1846, † 1925). The couple had a son:

  • Wilhelm Karl Rudolf (* May 21, 1882; † July 12, 1959), Frigate Captain ∞ Maria Isodora Rosel Elisabeth von Hoppenstedt (* July 3, 1890; † 1989)
