Rudolph Blüthner-Haessler (born August 2, 1903 in Magdeburg , † June 16, 1966 in Leipzig ) was a German lawyer and entrepreneur. From 1932, he was the third generation to run the Julius Blüthner Pianofortefabrik .
Life

As a lawyer he married the daughter of Robert Blüthner . To keep the company name , Blüthner adopted his son-in-law. After his father-in-law and adoptive father died, Rudolph took over management of the company in 1932. When Jewish owners of a Blüthner emigrated during the National Socialist era , Blüthner-Haessler had their instruments brought to them at company expense in 75 to 100 cases. In 1943 the plant was completely destroyed in one of the air raids on Leipzig . Encouraged by musicians and business friends, he gathered the surviving piano makers of the company after the war to venture a fresh start in the sawmill, which had been spared from bombs . From 1948 the company was able to deliver again.
