Rudolph Buchwald

Rudolph Buchwald (born July 8, 1858 in Münsterberg , Frankenstein district ; † July 6, 1933 ) was a German Catholic theologian .

Life

He studied Catholic theology at the University of Wroclaw and was ordained a priest in 1881. In 1882 he became a religion teacher in Groß-Strehlitz . In 1880 he received his doctorate on De liturgia gallicana . In 1899, Bishop Georg von Kopp appointed him the first director and professor of the newly founded Weidenau seminary . From 1906 he was pastor of St. Michaelis (Breslau-Elbing) . In 1913 he became cathedral capitular and in 1920 honorary professor for the history of the liturgy. From 1917 to 1921 he was editor of the Schlesisches Pastoralblatt .
