Rudolph Friedrich Theodor von Watzdorf (born May 14, 1804 , † January 15, 1880 in Dresden ) was a German manor owner and politician .

Live and act

The son of the Saxon Council of Appeal Adam Friedrich August von Watzdorf (1753-1809) and his wife Charlotte nee von Oppen-Jütrichow (1767-1811) acquired the manor Störmthal in 1824 . As a result, he also acquired the Liebertwolkwitz manor , whose jurisdiction he ceded to the state on March 30, 1842. He was chamberlain at the Saxon royal court. In 1836 he was appointed by the Saxon king for life to the first chamber of the state parliament , to which he belonged with the exception of the revolutionary years of 1849 and 1850 until his resignation after the state parliament in 1871/73 .

His older brother Otto von Watzdorf was a liberal lawyer and politician who u. a. belonged to the Frankfurt National Assembly and the Saxon State Parliament .
