The Rudower Spider is a square in the Berlin district of Neukölln and the main traffic junction in the Neukölln district of Rudow . Previously only known as this in Berlin vernacular , the place was officially named Rudower Spider in June 1983.

location

The Rudower Spider is located south of the Rudow underground station between Waltersdorfer Chaussee, Neuköllner Straße and Groß-Ziethener Chaussee.

nature

A boulder on the Rudower Spider is a registered natural monument .

traffic

There are stops for bus routes X7, 162, 171, 172, 260, 271, 371, 372, 373, 744 and N7 on the square. The U7 line also ends here at the Rudow underground station . There is a tree-lined parking lot on the square itself. The streets Neuköllner Straße, Alt-Rudow, Groß-Ziethener Chaussee, Neudecker Weg, Waltersdorfer Chaussee and Schönefelder Straße cross at the Rudower Spider.

Planned stop conversion

With the start of operations at Berlin Brandenburg Airport , increased traffic is expected at the Rudower Spider. Against the partial resistance of residents and business owners, new bus stops and new subway entrances are being built in Neuköllner Straße in order to create convenient transfer situations for passengers to and from the airport.
