Rugged Bear is a 1953 American animated short film directed by Jack Hannah .
action
In a corner of the forest the bears sleep peacefully until the announcer announces the hunting season . All the bears immediately storm into their den, frightened. Only Bear Humphrey slept through the escape and is now standing in front of a locked cave. The hunters appear and Humphrey suddenly finds himself in the hail of bullets. He escapes into a house that turns out to be the hunting lodge of Donald Duck , who comes back from the hunt with his shotgun. In his distress, Humphrey rolls up the bearskin in front of the fireplace and imitates the fur himself.
Donald makes himself comfortable on it, cracks nuts in the bear's mouth, opens a bottle on a tooth and curls up in his fur. When a spark from the fire falls on the bear's skin, Donald uses brutal extinguishing methods and finally throws the entire bear into the washing machine . As the washed bearskin puffs up, Donald flattens it with a lawnmower . The hunting season is finally over and Donald leaves the house. The exhausted Humphrey remains behind. The bearskin, rolled up at the beginning, also turns out to be a living bear, which thanks Humphrey for escaping Donald's ordeal.
