Ruggero Benussi

Ruggero Benussi (born October 21, 1924 in Fiume , † October 25, 2004 ) was an Italian politician.

biography

Benussi studied engineering at the Universities of Padua and Trieste and subsequently worked as a manager in the steelworks in Bolzano .

In 1966 he enrolled in the neo-fascist party Movimento Sociale Italiano - Destra Nazionale , which he chaired at provincial level until 1972. After he had represented his party for a while in the Bolzano municipal council, he was elected to the South Tyrolean state parliament in 1988 and at the same time to the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol . In 1993 he was re-elected, and in 1998 the father of the future mayor Giovanni Benussi voluntarily retired from active politics.
