Rui Chenggang

Rui Chenggang (born September 24, 1977 in Hefei , Anhui , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese television journalist .

Life

Rui attended the 1995 Academy of Foreign Affairs in Beijing , he specialized in International Economic completed. In 2000 he became an employee of the newly established international television channel CCTV-9 of the Chinese television, China Central Television (CCTV). In 2008 he joined CCTV's business channel, CCTV-2 as editor, interviewer and speaker. In his interviews over the past seven years he has met politicians and big business figures such as: B. Bill Clinton , Bill Gates and the IMF Director Horst Koehler .

Rui is a columnist for Beijing Youth Daily and a regular blogger . In 2009 he published his first book Life begins at 30 .

arrest

On July 11, 2014, Rui was arrested by the Beijing prosecutor for reasons that were not yet clear. His seat on the nightly business program on CCTV-2 was empty.
