The Rukowitzberg (also Ruckowiesberg, Ruckwiesberg, Ruckowitzberg) is 1269 m high and is located directly north of the well-known Großer Falkenstein in the extension area of the Bavarian Forest National Park .
At the summit there are a few small boulders, every now and then a small view is revealed. Much more interesting are the shafts in this area, of which the Ruckowitz shaft and the Sulz shaft are in the immediate vicinity. From these former alpine pastures , which are a welcome resting place for hikers, there is a good view.
The long-distance hiking trail E6 leads over the Rukowitzberg from Zwieslerwaldhaus to the Großer Falkenstein , so that most people do not visit it as an independent hike, but only hike over it.
