Around the financial center Eschborn-Frankfurt 2011 was the 50th edition of the Frankfurt classic bike, which this year bore this name for the second time. The bike race traditionally took place on May 1st and was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2011 , where it was classified in the highest category 1.HC. The goal was reached after 201.7 kilometers in Frankfurt at the Alte Oper.

The course initially led from Eschborn for the first time to Frankfurt through its destination at the Alte Oper. From there it went over the Riedberg to the climbing in the Taunus. The route then led back via Kronberg and Eschborn to downtown Frankfurt, where the decision was made on the three flat final laps.
