The Rundblättrige fat hen ( Hylotelephium Anacampseros (L.) H.Ohba ; Syn .: Sedum Anacampseros L. ) is a plant from the genus of Hylotelephium , which were formerly to the genus of sedum ( Sedum has counted).
features
The round-leaved sedum plant is a bare, perennial succulent plant that reaches heights of 10 to 30 centimeters. The succulent stems rise up arching. There are some stems that are not flowering and are densely leafed towards the tip. The alternate, sessile leaves are flat, fleshy, elliptical-lanceolate to ovate-round, blunt, with entire margins.
The umbellate to hemispherical inflorescence is multi-flowered. The hermaphrodite flower is fivefold. The sepals are 3 to 4 millimeters long. The dirty-red petals are elongated, 4 to 5 millimeters long and below they are blue-purple with a green keel. The tip is hood-shaped.
The flowering period extends from June to August.
The five follicles per flower are 4 millimeters long and have a 1 millimeter long, thin tip.
The species is hexaploid and has the number of chromosomes 2n = 36.
Occurrence
This plant species occurs in the Alps from the Maritime Alps to the Venetian Alps, as well as in the Pyrenees and the Apennines . It can be found subalpine to alpine at altitudes of 1400 to 2500 meters on rocks, rubble and lawn over lime-poor soils. The species does not occur outside of Europe.
