The wrinkled scabies (Rhytismatales) are an order of the hose fungi . The species live parasitically on plants.

features

The sexual forms ( teleomorphs ) form apothecia as fruiting bodies , the excipulum of which is reduced. The fruiting body develops within the stroma , which in turn is sunk into the host tissue. The hymenium escapes into the open as host and fungal tissue with longitudinal slits burst open. In Cudonia and Spathularia , the fruiting bodies develop on the ground and morphologically resemble those of the Helotiales . The asci are thin-walled, have an undifferentiated apex and are not amyloid . The ascospores often have a gelatinous sheath or appendages.

The asexual forms ( anamorphic ) are mostly Leptostroma -like: The conidia are formed on constantly multiplying conidiogenic cells.

Systematics

The genre and family descriptions are artificial in many areas, but sufficient studies for a new classification are still pending. There are four families and 22 genera that are not assigned to any family (with selected genera and species):
